    ❤️Why You'll Love this Recipe

    • Healthy: This homemade pumpkin spice creamer is made with wholesome ingredients. It's also dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free!
    • Easy to make and prep: It only takes a few minutes to prepare, and then after about 4 hours (or until chilled) in the refrigerator, it's ready to enjoy. This creamer will last up to 5 days, so it's perfect to prep for the week ahead.
    • Delicious
Ingredients to make oat milk pumpkin spice creamer.

    📝Ingredient Notes

    • Oat milk: I use homemade oat milk or barista blend oat milk. The Barista blend will give a creamier result!
    • Salt: It may sound like an odd ingredient to include, but salt is a flavor enhancer. You won't taste any salt in the creamer.

    🥛Substitutions

    • Oat milk: Other milk alternatives such as almond milk, cashew milk, and coconut milk work well too.
    • Pure maple syrup: Brown sugar or even honey can be used as a sweetener. Honey has a more distinct flavor, though. So its flavor can shine through.

🎃How to Make Oat Milk Pumpkin Spice Creamer

    1. Add all ingredients except for the vanilla into a small saucepan and whisk until combined.

    2. Heat the saucepan over the stove on medium heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the spices are dissolved. Whisk while it's heating to prevent clumping. Then mix in the vanilla.

    3. Store the creamer in a glass jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until chilled. Shake well before each use and enjoy in hot coffee, cold brew, and iced coffee.

    🧊Storing

Store the creamer in an airtight jar or milk bottle for about 5 days in the refrigerator. Shake well before each use as the contents will separate.

    ✅Pro Tips

    • Use barista blend oat milk: Barista blend has a higher fat content, making it extra creamy. It's great for coffee, espresso, lattes, baking, cooking, and more. If you want the creamiest dairy-free pumpkin spice creamer, use an oat milk that's labeled barista blend.
    • Refrigerate at least 4 hours before using: The creamer is best enjoyed once it's completely chilled. This gives it a creamier consistency and allows the flavors to develop.
    • Add sweetener to taste: 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup will give a subtle sweetness. If you like your creamer to be really sweet, add as much as you'd like. You can also use brown sugar in place of maple syrup.
    • Add pumpkin pie spice to taste: I personally don't enjoy strong pumpkin spice flavors. This creamer has a subtle pumpkin spice flavor, but you can add more if you'd like.
    • Use good quality pumpkin puree: Canned is perfectly fine, and it's what I use. Not all brands are the same, however. Some cheap brands can have a "pulpy/stringy" puree that's not as smooth. My favorite is Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree strictly because of how smooth it is.
    • Don't skimp on the salt: Salt enhances the rest of the flavors in the creamer without making it taste salty.

    ⁉️Frequently Asked Question

Is oat milk a good coffee creamer?

Yes! Especially the barista blend oat milk. It's extra creamy, so it's perfect to use for creamer.

Does oat milk taste good in coffee?

Yes! Oat milk is one of my favorite milk alternatives to use in coffee. I would even prefer it over dairy milk! It has a nutty taste and naturally sweet flavor. It also has a smooth and velvety consistency making it perfect to pour straight into your cup of coffee.

    Is oat milk creamer healthier?

It depends on the creamer. For a healthy creamer, you want it to have little to no amounts of added sugars, and be free of additives, and unhealthy fats. You can read more about healthy coffee creamers here.
