    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

The best Vegan Fruit Dip is creamy, and sweet, with bright and warm flavors. I love how versatile this dish is when it comes to serving. It's the perfect snack for after school, and any kind of party or gathering.

Vegan fruit dip with a plate of fruit.

Fruit dip reminds me of those fun summer days because of how perfectly it fits into a fruit platter or charcuterie board. You can add any fruit you love and it makes for a beautiful, light, and refreshing snack.

If you want more summer recipes, try my Pineapple Mango Habanero Salsa or my Chocolate Banana Milkshake. This one is kid-friendly, and you wouldn't even know it's healthy!

Ingredients to make vegan fruit dip.

    📝Ingredient Notes

    • Vegan cream cheese: Use a plant-based brand you like the taste of. Some I like for this recipe are Toffuti and Violife. Miyokos is a brand I also like, but it has a tangy flavor. I have not tried it for this dip. If you choose to try it, you may want to omit the lemon juice or add some to taste. This way it's not too tangy. Just know that using different brands can yield different results.
    • Dairy-free yogurt: I use Oui Dairy-Free Vanilla yogurt, but you can use any vanilla yogurt brand that you enjoy the taste of.
    • Pure maple syrup: Use 100% pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup. These are not the same.
    • Vanilla extract: Vanilla extract helps intensify the vanilla flavor in this dip!
    • Cinnamon: Cinnamon adds another subtle depth of flavor that complements the other flavors well in this dish. This ingredient is a must!

    🥛Substitutions

    • Pure maple syrup: Swap out the syrup for any other sweetener like honey or powdered sugar.
    • Vanilla extract: Play around with the flavors. You can add any extract you want to change up the flavors. Start with a little bit and then add more to taste. Some extract ideas would be lemon, orange, or strawberry.

    🍓Variations

    • Chocolate: Make this a vegan chocolate fruit dip by mixing in some cocoa powder!
    • Orange: Add an orange flavor with fresh orange juice and orange zest.

    🧊Storing

    • Sweeten to taste: If you like a sweeter dip, just add more pure maple syrup or your sweetener of choice.

    ⁉️Frequently Asked Questions

Can vegan fruit dip be frozen?

Yes. I have tested this out with Violife Just like Cream Cheese and Oui Dairy-Free Vanilla Yogurt. Let it thaw at room temperature and then mix well before serving.

Can fruit dip be made ahead of time?

Yes. Fruit dip is perfect for making in advance for meal prep or social gatherings. Just store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

How do I keep apple slices from turning brown?

There are a few methods you can use. The first method is to add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to 1 cup of water. Let the apple slices soak for a few minutes, then remove them, pat them dry, and store them in an airtight container until ready to use.

The next method is to use a saltwater solution. Add ½ teaspoon of salt per 1 cup of water. Let soak for about 10 minutes, then drain, pat dry with a kitchen towel, and store until ready to use.

    Ingredients

    • 7.05 ounces dairy-free cream cheese I use Violife
    • 5 ounces dairy-free vanilla yogurt I use Oui by Yoplait
    • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup or to taste
    • ½ tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon or more to taste, see notes

    Instructions

    • Beat the dairy-free cream cheese with a hand mixer until it becomes softened.
    • Add the remaining ingredients and beat until well combined.
    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
    • Serve with fruit, cookies, graham crackers, or pretzels. Enjoy!

    Notes

    • Use a dairy-free cream cheese and vanilla yogurt that you like the taste of. Different brands can yield different results.
    • ⅛ teaspoon of cinnamon is half of ¼ teaspoon. This ingredient doesn't make the fruit dip taste like cinnamon. Instead, it balances out the brightness from the other flavors with a warm flavor. Don't leave it out!
    • This fruit dip yields 1 ¼ cup.
