Start by washing all of your produce, then add all of the ingredients in this order:
Add the water into your blender.
Next, we want to add our fruits. Quarter your apple and discard the stem and seeds. Then add in the banana and orange.
Now we add our vegetables. Put the celery in along with the kale on top. Again, if you are using a vitamix, keep the stems on! If not, remove them.
Using a spoon, scrape the skin off the ginger and add it to the blender.
Add in a very tiny nub of jalapeño (with the seeds removed), if desired.
Throw in the lemon wedge. And yet again, if you're using a vitamix then keep the rind on! If not, peel the lemon wedge and discard the rind.
Add in the flax or chia seeds and then top with ice.
This takes about 1 minute in a vitamix blender on high speed. Every once in a while, place your hand on the side of the blender checking to make sure it doesn't get warm. We want our juice to stay cold. The ice helps with this!
Pour and enjoy! I sometimes drink the entire batch at once, but you can half it and refrigerate it for a couple of days to enjoy longer.
